Mystic Michaela on Aura Reading and Spiritual Life Guidance
Megan Michaela has seen colors around people all her life. She says that she can’t remember living life without this ability. “Just like smelling or seeing, it’s a sense I have.” Growing up, Michaela wasn’t really sure what this ability was for. She just knew that different colors had different meanings. “For example, red people felt more intense and purple people were less judgmental. I just knew yellow people were the ones with answers to questions, green people were the socially awkward but intelligent and blue people were sweet and made great friends.” She grew up in a psychic family, but because she is also an empath, she could always feel the judgment, fear, and criticism of others regarding the spiritual work. “I was afraid to be open about my abilities because I was very sensitive to the backlash.”
It wasn’t until Michaela began teaching middle school Spanish that the aura colors assisted her with the different learning styles. “I matched up lessons and ways of teaching with each child’s aura. I would incorporate the different styles of each aura and make activities which would garner the most engagement.” She saw that many teachers taught from their own aura style alone, whereas she would differentiate to the kids. She found this very helpful, but she kept it to herself. “I didn’t want to seem crazy, weird, different or unprofessional.” This all got especially difficult however because when parents would come in for conferences, she would get their aura colors as well but she would also see other things. “Children are authentic, but as we grow we tend to gather baggage and I would pick this up on the adults. I also discovered I had the ability to get messages from the aura colors.”
During parent teacher conferences, and even emails between parents and herself, she would find herself concentrating more on the messages and patterns in their lives. “Very powerful images, words, messages would pop out at me.” The subconscious and ingrained ways they were living their lives would be apparent and holding the information back from them became increasingly difficult for Michaela. “I developed a lot of anxiety, I felt untrue to myself and I was fighting against the fear head on of being “unlovable” if I did this work out in the open. This is when I decided that teaching was not for me, I had to go into my truth as an aura reader, an empathic medium and my ability to help others via what I call “Spiritual Life Guidance.”
When Michaela begins a reading, she will concentrate on the aura first. Once she does this, spirit starts to speak. “I will get information from a spirit guides, also known as angel guardians, as well as loves ones on the other side. I don’t control what comes out in a reading; I allow spirit to use me as a vessel for the information which is needed to come through for the particular person.” Because she connects via the aura, she needs to see photos of anyone she is reading, including the departed. “Seeing eyes is what connects me to the other side and the subsequent messages.”
She feels as though her gift is unique because the purpose isn’t just for entertainment, it is for spiritual growth. “Mediumship and clairvoyance work hand-in-hand with my aura readings for a complete channeling session where I am able to pinpoint present moment happenings while linking them to past patterns in order to create a path where my clients can begin to take the steps in living their destined life.” She sees that anxiety and unhappiness come from trying to live a life we were not born to live, wearing a mask and being untrue to our authentic Aura colors. “I coined the title “Spiritual Life Guidance” because it’s a way for my clients to begin the process of getting aligned with their authentic self, a wya to see patterns that have been holding them back and obstacles that need to be addressed head on.”
Michaela believes to live authentically is to align with one’s soul goals for being here. “When someone can do this, when they can life in total alignment to their authentic self, abundance, peach and connection to self and spirit can happen.”
She started getting serious about her practice back in 2014. Since, she has grown it into a thriving practice of personal clients in South Florida as well as nationwide. “I have been able to connect with well known celebrities and media personalities and have been on many radio, podcast and television productions spreading the word about auras and authentic living. “I conduct personal and private readings as well as hold events and am a host on my own podcast, “Know Your Aura with Mystic Michaela.”
The most rewarding part of what Michaela does is feeling others connect to themselves. “Because I am an empathic medium, I am uniquely able to step into a person’s energy during a reading. I can feel the unconditional love and the sense of worthiness that spirit holds for unconditional love and the sense of worthiness that spirit holds for each person.” When the person she is reading allows themselves to let that in, she feels it. She believes that sometimes they just need something which validates them, sometimes they just need something to click, and in her readings, she is there for that. “I get to feel it too. I get to feel the full circle of a person finally opening up to their own power. And it’s a rewarding experience that I am forever blessed and grateful to be witness to.”
The most challenging part of her work is helping people understand “why.” “Why did my husband get cancer at 40? Why did my baby die? Why did my father kill himself? Why? And the answers are not for us to always know. And it’s hard to explain to people that are feeling. I myself don’t understand it, but I can get the power behind that.” She says that there is a reason for it, but not one we can gasp in our human selves. “Suffering is hard to understand and there is never a reason for it we can explain away, especially not on this earth side.”
Michaela says that there is so much we are not able to know simply because we are limited in our human experience as to the whole picture of this lifetime. “It’s a classroom, and the tragedies of death and the timestamp each one of us have on ourselves and the ones we love is the part that we have the hardest time grasping. If there is this unconditional love around us, then why do we suffer?” She feels like a lot of it is because that’s what reminds us to keep this life important…meaningful. “Because it’s not permanent and it’s not meant to be forever.” So, she tries her best in these situations to give as much closure as she can to those who grieve the ones they have lost and she feels inspired by their ability to open up to it and to feel their loved ones come I and touch them.
Her podcast, “Know Your Aura with Mystic Michaela” discusses all things mystical and practical in aura color. “Along with my co-host/husband Scott and our guests we discuss day to day ways to increase the authenticity of your life. I try to make the paranormal normal. I discuss all sorts of spiritual topics in a down to earth way. I am passionate about helping people pick up and take charge of the power they possess right now in life and to begin where they stand in their journey of self discovery and spirituality.”
Michaela admits that it was a tough choice to start to share all of herself and her journey so publicly. “I am able to feel others feelings, judgments and their thoughts about what to do. I have been met with all sorts of reactions, and feel them all very deeply. I decided to go full out and do it when I saw the good I was doing people outweighed the negativity I myself would encounter.” When she felt that it helped others, she decided it was too much about herself to continue to stay in the shadows with this message. “If I am telling people that spirit wants them to live loud and not dim their light and not to stay invisible, I have to do that too. And it’s always a challenge for me to do so, every day.” She says that she has come full circle, but it doesn’t mean her own journey gets easier. “I just keep learning new things and that’s a message I try to share with everyone. There is no finish line here, it is just always going to be the journey and that is the beautiful part.”
She feels it has helped others stand in their own truths to family, significant others and most importantly, themselves. “I have seen people who were cooking Thanksgiving dinners for their childhood abusers realize that they aren’t going to do it anymore and decide to take a stand.” She has seen people stay in jobs that they hate because they fear they wouldn’t survive in another context, quit their job and flourish elsewhere. I have seen people step into their power, their authenticity and the feeling of “that which is greater than us” inside of them, and because of that, it inspires me every day to continue to create contexts for discussions, growth and individualized spiritual journeys.”
